ROSH has been implemented along the following steps to achieve the objective of increasing the energy efficiency in the retrofitting of social housing.

  • Analysis of the current situation in social housing as well as of the existing financial mechanisms and economic conditions in the partner regions
  • Compilation of good practice retrofitting projects and innovative financial and partnership schemes
  • Compilation of an inventory of technologies, integrated sustainable retrofitting solutions and advanced tailored financial schemes
  • Development of an audit and advice toolkit
  • Compilation of quality assurance tools
  • Presenting the results in two guidebooks – "Sustainable retrofitting of social housing" and "Guidebook on advanced tailored financial schemes"
  • Training and further education measures for architects, engineering consultants and planners
  • Training actions on user behaviour, quality assurance and related cost effects
  • Supporting demonstration projects to apply and improve tools and instruments
  • Market campaign and information to investors, housing companies, local authorities and policy makers
  • EU-wide dissemination and transfer of the project results:
    • Provision of all information material via project website; good practice solutions, guidebooks, demonstration projects
    • Networking and transfer of results on the national and European level
